Dodda Basavana Gudi: Also known as the Bull Temple for the sacred Hindu demi-god named Nandi, this popular site is said to be the largest temple devoted to Nandi in the world. Nandi is a close devotee and attendant of Shiva and the stone image of the bull is continually covered with new layers of butter placed upon the figure by numerous devotees.

Sri Radha Krishna-Chandra Mandir: This site is also known as the ISKCON Temple, an acronym for the International Society of Krishna Consciousness, a group of followers with spiritual sites in 80 countries worldwide including 121 in India. The lavishly decorated temple hosts a bold mix of contemporary and traditional styles and is one of the largest ISKCON temples in the world.

Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens: Also known simply as LalBagh, meaning “The Red Garden”, this elegant botanical garden houses India’s largest collection of tropical plants. Modeled after the Mughal style of garden, it has an aquarium, a lake and an immense glass house, inside of which grow numerous selections of beautiful plants and flowers.
