we will reach ferry stand and enjoy ferry ride to go Elephantas Island. The name of the island is given by the Portuguese because of the large stone elephant formerly standing by the coast. On rock-hewn temples that were carved from 450-750 AD and called the island of Ghorapuri – the “cave place” – Ghorapuri in cave relief plaques dedicated to the famous Shiva (Symbolizing the three virtues of God-Creator, Guard and destroyer.
