Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT DELHI
Upon arrival in Delhi received by our executive and transfer to your Delhi Hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 2: DELHI TO CHANDIGARH BY TRAIN & TO SHIMAL BY ROAD (115 KM)
Rise early this morning and transfer to New Delhi railway station to board the Shatabadi Express train (12011) departing at 0740 hrs to Chandigarh.

Upon arrival at Chandigarh railway station at 1105 hrs you will be met and transferred to Shimla (approx. 110 kms/3.5 hrs). Arrive Shimla and check-in your hotel where you will stay for the next 2 nights.

Shimla is at an altitude of approx. 2,130, and is a charming resort town and the most loved hill station in India since British troops set up camp here in 1819. The construction of the train line from Kalka to Shimla was built in 1903, allowing for easy access to the region.

DAY 3: SHIMLA SIGHTSEEING WITH TOY TRAIN RIDE
Today morning after breakfast you will experience 2 hrs miniature gauges ‘Toy Train’ which starts from Shimla @ 1030 Hrs. Enjoy the fascinating train journey on this historical rail route which has 105 tunnels and single and double arch bridges. Finishes at Kandhagath @ 1230 Hrs, you will be pick up and drive back to city for Lunch.

After Lunch sightseeing around Shimla will start with a visit to one of Shimla’s major landmarks the Christ Church, the second oldest church in Northern India built between 1846 and 1857. Also visit the Scandal Point, Later, visit the Himalayan Aviary.

DAY 4: SHIMLA TO KALKA BY ROAD (85 KM) & TO DELHI BY TRAIN
This morning you will visit Viceregal Lodge located on the Observatory Hill which is also known as the ‘Rashtrapati Niwas’.

From here you will be transfer back to Kalka railway station (approx.110 kms/3.5 hrs), where you will board the Shatabadi Express (12012) train back to Delhi departing at 1745 hrs. Upon arrival at New Delhi railway station at 2155 hrs your arrangements end.
