Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Discover Old Delhi & Nizamuddin

Delhi is a vibrant city where history and modern life come together. The city is divided into two main zones / parts: Old Delhi, with old Mughal monuments and shops, and New Delhi, the city built during British colonial times.

In the morning, enjoy a guided walking tour through the historic lanes of Old Delhi, leading towards Raj Ghat, the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. The route passes through the bustling surroundings of Chandni Chowk, offering a glimpse of the city’s vibrant street life and heritage atmosphere..

Later you will take a short walk through the narrow streets of Nizamuddin, the Sufi area in Delhi. You will be guided by local young youth who will help you uncover the traditions, monuments, flavors, and history of this neighborhood, which is a vibrant mix of old and new, upscale residences and ancient tombs. Visitors and devotees regularly gather at Nizamuddin Dargah, the revered resting place of a Sufi saint, to experience soulful qawwali performances, enjoy traditional Sufi music, taste local street food like kebabs, and explore the energetic nearby market filled with everyday life and culture..

Day 2: Travel from Delhi to Jaipur – The Pink City

Today you will travel to Jaipur, often called the Pink City because many buildings in its old quarter are painted in soft shades of pink. It is the capital of Rajasthan and serves as an important gateway to the state’s culture, heritage, and rural traditions.

For the next two nights, you will experience life in the surrounding villages of Jaipur, offering a closer look at everyday routines away from the city. This stay gives you a chance to slow down and understand the rhythm of rural living.

You will visit a local community led by Jaimala and Hitesh, who have spent over a decade working with young people and women artisans from Rajasthan. Together, they have developed an ethical fashion initiative that supports skills, creativity, and fair income opportunities.

During your visit, you will also see different small-scale projects that help the community become more self-reliant. These may include a local school initiative, an organic farm that promotes sustainable agriculture, and a biogas unit that provides cleaner energy for daily use.

You will spend the night within the community setting. The accommodation is modest yet cozy, offering clean rooms with essential amenities and shared bathroom facilities, ensuring a comfortable and authentic stay experience. For travelers who prefer more comfort or privacy, there is also an option to stay in the city center of Jaipur instead of the village area.

Day 3: Learning Block Printing with Women Artisans in Jaipur

With guidance from local women artisans, you will explore the traditional craft of block printing, one of India’s oldest textile techniques. You’ll get hands-on experience creating your own handkerchief using Rajasthani wooden printing blocks.

After the workshop, you’ll have time to interact with the women, hearing about their daily lives, work, and experiences. If you like, you can participate in the community’s morning meditation or join in the evening games with local youth.

Tonight, you will stay within the community in simple, comfortable accommodations, experiencing life in a rural setting firsthand.

Day 4: Jaipur to Agra by road – Forts and Journey to the Taj City

In the morning, visit the magnificent Amber Fort, perched on a hill just outside Jaipur. Although elephants are often seen carrying visitors to the fort, this tour chooses a more ethical approach, so you will reach the entrance comfortably by jeep.

In the afternoon, you’ll drive to Agra by car.

Day 5: Taj Mahal Visit and Return to Delhi & Departure

At sunrise, visit the iconic Taj Mahal, widely celebrated as a symbol of love. The early morning light brings out the changing hues of its white marble, creating a truly magical experience. This stunning monument was commissioned in 1631 by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

After your visit, take a break at a remarkable café managed by women who are acid attack survivors. Here, you can unwind, enjoy refreshments, and engage with the inspiring entrepreneurs behind the initiative. Later, return by road to Delhi and drop at Delhi International airport to board flight for onward Journeys.
