Overview

This trip takes you from the Indian Himalayas to the north Indian lowlands. Our route leads on the spectacular slope over the 5370 m high Tanglang-La-Pass to Leh, the capital of the former kingdom of Ladakh. A highlight of the trip is a visit to the well-preserved frescoes in the Alchi Monastery. We also organize individual trips to Spiti and trekking in the Nubra Valley. In Manali and the green Kulu valley, we mainly meet Hindu pilgrims,  Then we stop to Dharamsala, the residence of the Dalai Lama and holy city of Sikh Amritsar where you will Harminder Sahib Temple (Golden Temple).

DAY 01:  Arrival at Leh

Arrive at Leh Airport and welcomed by our representative and transfer to your Hotel

Today Afternoon we will visit Shey, Thiksey & Stok Palace.

DAY 02:  Leh – Search

After early breakfast leave with a picnic lunch for Sarchu. Check-in at Adventure Camp for Dinner & Overnight stay.

DAY 03:  Search – Jispa

After breakfast leaves leisurely with a picnic lunch for Jespa, passing over Baralacha La Pass at 4850 Mts.  Descend down till you reach Darcha for tea & Passport check. Darcha was once the oldest village, which was completely destroyed in the 7th century by was floods & earthquakes. Darcha is now a start-off point for Trekking to Zanskar Valley. On arrival at Jespa, check-in at Hotel.

DAY 04:  Jispa – Kaza

After Breakfast, you will drive from Jispa to Kaza thru Keylong town, which is the District HQs of Lahaul & Spiti Valley. Enroute stop at Sisu Falls, Koksar Village for Passport check, and then drive towards and over the Kunzam Pass (4558 m). In the evening reach Kaza.

DAY 05:  Kaza

In the morning you will visit the Kyee Monastery, about 12 Kms from Kaza and located high above the left banks of the river Spiti.

DAY 06:  Kaza – Manali

After breakfast, Drive via Losar over Kunzam Pass (4550 Mts) to Batal. Enjoy the breathtaking view of Chander Tal. Continue Drive via Chota Dhara, Chatru & stop at Koksar for Passport & ILP check.   Continue driving to Manali over the Rohtang Pass at 11500 Feet high from Sea Level. While descending on another side, enjoy Indian Snacks at Marhi and the breathtaking view of Manali Valley. On arrival Check-in at the hotel.

DAY 07:  Manali

Morning half day sightseeing of Manali, We will start from  Nagar, it is a beautiful village located on a hill surrounded by forests, it was the capital of Kullu in the sixteenth century and here the monuments in the districts are witness to its magnificent history.

Afternoon visit a Half-Day Sightseeing tour around Manali. Hadimba Temple Manali: in 1553 and is dedicated to Goddess Hadimba.

DAY 08:  Manali – Dharamshala

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Dharamshala en-route to visit the Kullu Town, also called “The valley of Gods”& famous for the Dussehra Festival. Then drive for Mandi, & stop at BAIJNATH Temple. Visit en-route Palampur, famous for Tea Gardens, & CHAMUNDA DEVI temple.

DAY 09:  Dharamshala

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visits the Palace & Monastery of His Holiness “DALAI LAMA” Tibetan Medical Centre called “NamTse See” & Secretariat, Parliament of the Tibetian Govt. in Exile, called as KISSING GISHONG and the Tibetian Library, Norbulinka. Afternoon visit Bagshu Nag Temple Complex, Water Fall &SOS Tibetian Children Village.

DAY 10:  Dharamshala – Amritsar

After Breakfast, Drive to Amritsar descending thru the Hills & passing thru Nurpur Village and Pathankot, which is the transport hub of Punjab.

Continue driving thru the Villages of Gurdaspur, the milk production center, and Batala, the industrial equipment manufacturing hub.

DAY 11:  Amritsar

Have breakfast at the hotel and we visit the holiest city Sikhs. Morning visits the GOLDEN TEMPLE, After visit the historic Jallianwala Bagh, Afternoon drive 45 Kms up to the Wagah Border for the “Change of Guards” ceremony held by Pakistani Rangers & Indian Border Security Forces (BSF). Return to Hotel

DAY 12:  Amritsar – Delhi (Departure)

Morning Free & afternoon in time transfer to Amritsar Railway Station / Airport to connect the Shatabdi Express Train/flight for Delhi.
